More new Wax Melts

Today I'd like to introduce you to seven more amazing Wax Melt scents. Most are also available as candles, but two are not! Cuban Tobacco & Oak - which surprises everyone with how lovely it smells.  LOADS of people tell me they think it's going to smell like an ashtray, but I ask you - would I sell something that smells like a stinky ashtray?  Of course the answer is no.  Tobacco has a wonderful, distinctive scent, and this fragrance combines that wonderful scent with the scent of oak, to give us a sophisticated, dark, almost sexy smell.  This fragrance has gone down so well with my testers and customers I am already nearly sold out! Fireside - this scent is best described as "aftershave, posh aftershave".  Its masculine, strong and inviting. It has been designed to put you in mind of sitting by an open fire, with a glass of wine (I prefer red in the winter), with warm socks on.  The official description is an intensely rich and full aroma leading with crisp top notes of bergamot, lemon leaf and warming spices, enhanced by fresh eucalyptus, tender lavender and summer geranium. The base of this fragrance is exotic and full with red cedar, massoia wood, amber, frankincense and musks. Kabuki - now, what can this name mean?  According to the internet, kabuki means "a form of traditional Japanese drama with highly stylized song, mime, and dance, now performed only by male actors, using exaggerated gestures and body movements to express emotions, and including historical plays, domestic dramas, and dance pieces."  Does this melt smell like this?  I have no idea.  What I do know is that it smells like is something like this - A harmonious blend of orange and cinnamon open this fragrance followed by clove, freesia, sweet vanilla and amber, all coming to rest on a musky bed of cedarwood, patchouli and sandalwood. Pink Fizz & Pomelo - a frighteningly lovely scent of fizzy pink!  Its sweet, sparkly and a little bit lovely I think. Thai Lime & Mango - a family favourite, we have this in reed diffusers around our house in the summer.  A refreshing zest accord with mouth-watering Indian lemongrass, Italian lemon and Thai Lime supported with fresh pineapple, melon, grapefruit and juicy mango.  Light and fresh with a hint of zesty sweetness. Tuscan Leather - another one to surprise you. I was initially put off at the idea of a melt that would make my house smell like a leather chair (no matter how much I love the scent of my leather handbags).  HOWEVER, this fragrance is truly lovely.  Imagine a warm, Italian afternoon, sitting in your leather chair, with the air filled with sun warmed Rosemary from the pot near the window!  Heaven.  This one requires a lovely, chilled white wine I think! Velvet Peony & Oud - a strong, heady combination of beautiful Damask Rose and Oud.  Stunning. I hope you like these as much as I do.

Wax Melts are here at last!

I'm so excited to announce the launch, today, of our new Rapeseed and Coconut Wax Melts.  They work in the same way as our wonderful Soy Melts, and provide a glorious, reliable scent for at least 12 hours (or three standard tea light candles).  I've launched five fragrances today.  Hot Apple Pie (an old favourite) and four new ones - Christmas Spice, Nutcracker, Frankincense & Myrrh and Gingerbread (which is my favourite). In the next week or so, I will also be launching Fireside, Tuscan Leather, Thai Lime & Mango, Velvet Peony & Oud, Cuban Tobacco & Oak, Kabuki, Pink Fizz & Pomelo and Effete - we are just in the final stages of testing these beautiful scents. Because of the rules governing candle and melt making, each product must have a label detailing any potential hazards and allergens.  These are listed on each product page and is also the reason why I am now offering different ways to buy each scent: either individually or in bags of 4 or 5.  The extra labelling requirements, and the increase in the price of supplies, has forced me to increase my costs for individual melts, while I have tried to keep my multi buy prices as low as possible.  I think they are worth the extra pennies - I hope you do too.

The Complete Collection

Hello! Finally, at last, all of my new candles are on the website, ready to go. I have had so much fun (and some tears and tantrums) experimenting with what feels like dozens of new fragrances, in an attempt to bring you the best candles I can. I'm also using a new wax, made of Rapeseed and Coconut. There isn't a significant reason behind this change of wax - I saw it on my suppliers page and out of curiosity ordered a sample. And then I fell in love. It is so wonderful to work with, but better than that, the quality of the candle it produces is so much better. Its easy to wick, works well with most fragrances, and pumps out so much scent.

And the new scents? Well, I think they are all amazing. My dedicated team of candle testers also love them, and now my customers are loving them too.
